Ecem Naz Ust, Turkey 1989

Born in Istanbul and now living in Amsterdam, with my husband and our lovely dogs, I am a self-taught painter who found my true expression in oil paintings. My love for art began in childhood with charcoal drawing, and while that remains an important part of my creative foundation, I discovered a deeper connection through oil painting.

Much of my work is inspired by nature, particularly the deep green hues of large leaves, which evoke a sense of wisdom and peace that I aspire to embody.

While these large-scale botanical pieces remain deeply rooted in my vision, my artistic journey has expanded to embrace the subtle joys of everyday life. I now explore capturing quiet, fleeting moments—those serene, intimate details that invite you to pause, feel, and step right into the experience.
